Thursday, May 28 2009, 20:03:21 #41991 A cologne thread :) Don't think this has ever been started so I'll start now. My collection is as follows:
Gucci Envy - very masculine and strong, one spray will last the day. Has had a bucket load of compliments from ladies. Acqua Di Gio - It's okay, but everyone and their mom wears this. Over-rated, I'm considering selling my almost full bottle. Joop (pink) - Pretty much same description as Envy. Chanel pour monsieur for men - Possibly my favourite. Smells very 'citrusy' but at the same time it's still got a masculine scent to it. Expensive but worth it. Females love it. I wanna switch Acqua Di Gio for Gucci by Gucci. It's new, smells awesome but fairly expensive. Have had in the past: Dior - Farenheit; It's okay, wouldn't buy again. YSL - Kouros; avoid at all costs. What was I thinking? Armani Attitude; smells very nice and masculine, but doesn't last too long. |

Friday, May 29 2009, 12:26:03 #42008 Dude, just shower. That takes enough care of the smell-issue... |

Friday, May 29 2009, 12:38:15 #42009 Perfume was created back when people were not able to bath frequently. It was to cover up other smells. Now that people (usually) shower every day, its unnecessary, not to mention that almost all related products are fragranced themselves, i.e. shampoo, soap, deodorant, sprays, etc.
I guess its really just what you're accustomed to or brought up with, but I don't like the idea of having to go around smelling people, odor or otherwise. |

Friday, May 29 2009, 17:13:51 #42010 Woah I'm quite surprised at the amount of people who don't use it tbh. Sure shower/soap takes care of the odour issue but an added scent doesn't go amiss. I got to admit though I hate female perfumes for the most part. They smell like window cleaner.

Saturday, May 30 2009, 21:10:00 #42023 Armani code is nice, a bit too common though.
I smelt Creed colognes today after hearing a lot about them. You can only buy it Selfridges/Harrods in UK (It'd be your equivalent of going to Bal Harbour or Beverly Hills) and it smells out of this world. It's expensive as hell though. $150 USD for 30ml! (Maybe cheaper in US but here it's 70 GBP, just British being their usual expensive-ass selves). |

Sunday, May 31 2009, 23:22:14 #42029 Grammar Nazi in me says this:
Saying "Chanel pour monsieur for men" is the same as "Chanel for men for men" - redundant. On the topic, one of great thinkers said "If you smell, you smell bad". I used to wear cologne until I realized that it is just as offensive as cunt breath or sweat stench. Even the faintest smell might be overwhelming for some. I might only wear it if I'm going out with someone I know and we are not going to a public place. Otherwise I take a shower and the soap has plenty of fragrance in it. _________________

Friday, June 5 2009, 10:07:55 #42067 Right now I use Ralph Lauren Silver, but not very often, and very little when I do. I would probably never buy the stuff for myself unless I was single.
