Monday, February 8 2010, 07:12:58 #42822 Any Know Dynalink V1456VQE External Modem Init Strings ?? I have a Dynalink V1456VQE external modem which i am using for Titan Tecom downloading software & they are asking for the following modem properties to be set within the init string: set baud rate to fixed 300 baud rate (disable auto rate detect) - Set the modem to hang-up when DTR drops "The AT command for this is AT&D2" + Modem must have all flow control disabled if it has any. Anyone know what the init string would be to acheive this using this modem??

300 baud == 30 bytes per second ? it would take 37 hours to d/l a 4 mb mp3. wow. &N1 http://www.usr.com/support/5637/5637-ug/ref_data.html#amp_b |

Monday, February 15 2010, 17:09:06 #42855 Its talking to a Tecom Challenger panel. 9 times out of 10 it will work fine but on the odd occasion it will connect but not talk & you have to turn the modem off & on again and it will be fine. I'm assuming that some other downloading package that we are using is changing something in the modem init that stops it working on the Tecom.
