[Zenex]

My poor 'puter died the other day...I was browsing this forum (of all places) and it just locked up unresponsive. Went to reset, and it would not boot up even to bios. The power led does not come on, and the hdd led stays on all the time. Removed everything, changed cpu's, did all I could to try to get it to work, still won't boot to bios. Bad mobo, I am sure. I will be away for a week or two till I can replace it. Just as q4 comes out too. Hate that for me.

What is status of your 'puter? Did you make the checks I suggested?

Still not fixed yet...

I did change the power supply, I had an old 250 watt that had been laying around for a couple of years. Not 100% sure it works either, but I did try it. I also did try a new cpu fan, but when it fails, it shuts off power. This problem still lets power go thru the system. Once I had my cd-rom connected ide without power, and it did the same thing. That was easy to fix though.

I am holding out and saving money to get a 64 bit system instead of getting my 1700 AMD chip going again. It just seems a waste of money to buy anything less. I'm about halfway there.

I am suffering from withdrawls. Self medication does not seem to help. I have honestly had dreams of 'The enemy has your flag' and 'Holy Shit'. My whole life balance is upset...my only vent for frustrations now is a ps2 and gta. It's good, but I tire of it quickly. I have been watching lots of football lately, thinking the pigskin looks alot like the red flag There is nothing that can compare to a good game of quake. Except, of course, discussing Hal's odd sexual preferences

My roommates have computers (I am on one now) but I don't want to cause issues with a possible 'lack of respect for someone else's stuff', so I stay off of them as much as I can. But I do have to come here occasionally and read the forum. Small bits of sanity in this insane world.

I will be back soon, till then, frag one for me. And if it's Jimbo, do it twice.
