Alrighty, I downloaded doom3's demo, because of the fact that I thought my system wouldn't even be able to run it. But, it did!..with.....like..around...2FPS!...hoshit! I had everything as low as it could go with the system options, I was gonna kill some more stuff in the console but couldn't figure out how to do it.

I played until alittle after everything "happened".

So basically I shot 3 civilians in the face, and killed 2 zombies before turning it off, and my computer is still running slow from it.

Which brings me to believe that I need a new video card. And possibly a faster processor, my 1.2ghz can't handle it I suppose

Actually more like 10....but..what really pissed me off..is....

My dad downloaded the demo and ran it................

That fucker pulled atleast 70fps with res at 1024x768!

What's worse?! He was stuck in that one spot with the turbines for 20 fucking minutes! He shot the dude and fell in after him, and couldn't get up the ladder......

Smoked by my dad's computer...heh...his video card will be mine soon.(some geforce4 128 tnt thingy)

FPS is hardcoded to 60 in Doom 3. So 70 is bullshit.

Atleast, as in a guess, I compared it to how my Quake III usually runs which is a solid 65-75.
If I knew how to bring the console down and the commands for Doom, I'd check.

Either way, he wasn't using his machines full cababilities.

Doom 3 is BS period. Its a insult to ID after Quake IMHO....... but then again I hate single player games so what do I know

The glass?... Everything tries to get through the damn glass and can't it's annoying.

and how the hell do they expect me to "reserve" my ammo?! It takes atleast 12 rounds from the pistol to down an imp, I killed a few with the flashlight, but almost died.

omg dude, you can't kill anything with that flashlight. I never had an ammo problem anywhere in that game on any setting. Stop shooting the corpses.

I don't shoot barrels unless something is standing near them, but I do shoot the bodies in the head once before walking past them.

if your running out of ammo your not picking everything up. check every area completely. shine your flashlight everywhere. Takes time but its fun, you never know whats going to jump out of the shadows, so even when theres no enemies on the screen your still on guard
