Monday, August 2 2004, 13:14:12 #9014 Found this add.....Is it a good buy? 21" HP video monitor model:98752A,Sony chassis:SCC-799C-A,year:Nov
87,excellent condition, has 5 BNC input jacks consisting of R,G,B, and sync inputs of HD & VD. This monitor uses an adapter such as the one shown below: http://www.monitorworld.com/Cables/hd15male_to_5bncmale.html http://www.monitorworld.com/Cables/hd15male_to_5bncmale_pinout.html which I have a home made one, this monitor is a fixed frequency monitor so it requires a video card capable of running on 640X480 which is the standard freq available on most Pentium I and II computers. While doing a search on Google I found a store selling these monitors for $400 US I am asking only $45 firm and am located in Dartmouth and will no ship. When coming over bring your computer & SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY,first come first serve. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wartex, since you know what I have for a system.......will it work on mine?? Thanks for your input! |

Monday, August 2 2004, 16:46:00 #9066 The link to the monitor is http://www.monitorworld.com/Monitors/hp/98752a.html
At 1280x1024 it runs at 60 Hz. Mine runs at 85 Hz on same reso. At 60 Hz after 30 minutes of quaking your eyes will start bleeding. Quote: These older monitors, usually in the 17" to 21" range, were designed without multi-sync technology and normally do not work with standard PC video cards because the monitors are set to one or two specific resolutions and scan frequencies. _________________
