Sunday, April 3 2005, 21:04:29 #23973 Fuck yard work I fuckin hate yard work! My backyard was so overgrown I was forced to do something about it today. I had my weed wacker going and was crusin through the weeds when I came up on a patch of "fire plants" that were about 6ft by 10ft and 4ft high. Not taking a second to think, I busted into them without mercy and was quickly shot in the legs, arms, and face with stinging plant parts. |

My best friend (since I was 11 years old) is a Super at a local Golf Club and has been into landscaping for about 15 years now. I know how he busts his ass every day, so I know what you mean. Myself I sit on my ass in a call center and listen to people talk on the phone LOL Its exausting work SLIM, you should give Kill-X a try. That should fix your problem.....along with killing everything in else you happen to spray it on |

That's what all the kids in my area called them growing up. I couldn't find a pic on the net because I don't know what they are really called and I would have taken a pic but I already sent them all to hell. Fuck astronomical rent, I'll take the plant abuse. |

Monday, April 4 2005, 16:29:14 #24035 In my parents' backyard, there is an old piece of sheet metal, from a shed that they had back in the day, that is just lying in the back corner by the garage. Now, while mowing their lawn, I clipped the edge of the sheet metal with the push mower. What happened next confused and scared me at the same time. I felt several sharp pains in my right calf. These sharp pains quickly faded into a deep burning that I had never felt before. Now, living in Florida, water moccasins http://www.wf.net/~snake/moccasin.htm are VERY common. While being lucky and never ben bitten, I have seen several in my parents' neighborhood, as the subdivision is bordered by undeveloped land. I litteraly jumped back several feet and began looking for my attacker(s), very anxious not to get bitten on my retreat. As I visually scanned the ground while slowly backing up, something small and yellow flew into my vision and I felt that sharp sting again on my cheek. More and more of these small yellow and black insects began to cyclone out from underneath the sheet metal. There was a yellowjacket http://milwaukee.uwex.edu/urbanag/bugnet2/outdoors/outfly/yellowjacket/yellowjacket.html nest under that old shed door. Fuckers. At least it wasn't snakes.

Tuesday, April 5 2005, 02:49:47 #24060 I guess there are some good times when working out in the yard too. Like when you run something over with your lawnmower. |

Fuck astronomical rent, I'll take the plant abuse. i posted this before, but someone deleted it for some reason... i dont get it. anyways, does it look like this. a little fyi the plant in the pic is called nettle. The small, hollow hairs in stinging nettle contain several irritating substances such as histamine, serotonin, acetylcholine and formic acid. Thats why it burns. That is of course, if its the same plant. Why delete info like this? Last edited by Cannonfodder on 21:07, Tuesday Apr 5 2005; edited 1 time in total |

Tuesday, April 5 2005, 23:25:52 #24097 Naw, It's a different plant cannon. It doesn't look quite that intimidating. Marble would probably install one of those rock lawns before doing yardwork. |
