Greets,

I've seen plenty of you DRC folk around QuakeLive. Wartex invited me to come check out your forums, and I think I just may hang around for a while I'm Deanna. I'm a 26 year old Linux/Unix admin living outside Washington, DC. My current game of choice is QuakeLive, although I also play UT3, tf2, and hl2dm. I'm an avid fan of heavy metal and am totally sucking at my attempt to learn German.

Lol blackshark that's not very nice. It's like saying "opening a door all by himself, that's impressive for a cat". I'm sure you didn't mean to be rude, what you meant is "rare", not "impressive".

Also, it's a known fact all system administrators play Quake, regardless of gender.

but everyone has to admit that female quake players are pretty much rare.

About languages: German is easy to learn language as many others. There are 2 main words in any languages, in English they sound “I want”, the rest you can show with the tip of your finger

well its a bit harder than that. we have alot of uppercase grammar. and there is a big diffrence between male, female and misc nouns (not just "the").

I find the masculine/feminine verbs confusing. Why can't they just be simple and use one verb for either instance? I doubt German is particularly hard to learn. I'd say the hardest languages are Chinese/Japanese/Korean and around that area.

Very nice. Hows the admin world treating you. Linux is cool stuff. Not my strongest point but learning. Other then that welcome aboard and hopefully see you around QL. Sorry guys been at work aton. Trying to learn the fiber side of shit at work. Its tough, I got awhile before im good with it.
