Then type /record (demoname) To stop record, type /stoprecord That's how I do it.

If g_synchronousclients is 1 during the recordig of a demo online, the quake will wait for update from all clients, and if they have different pings or 1 or more has a laggy connection the demo will be choppy as fuck, because for every x milliseconds recording will not continue until full set of data is received from all clients. Psycheus is right. That may not apply if you run a listen server. _________________
