Sunday, June 13 2010, 17:59:29 #43004 Inline-Skating... advice needed hey fellars. I broke my pair of Rollerblades Crossfire II 90, the PLS (Power Lateral Support) broke on it and the laces (if that's what one could call them) are also overused. So basically I'm looking for a new set of inline skates.
Anyone got any advice? They need to be very robust, more the fitness/sports model, easy to put on and take off and at the same time somewhat comfortable. Money is not so much the issue, as long as they're robust :-) I had a look at these here in an online store: Rollerblade Speedmachine They don't have the PLS system though that enables very easy putting on/taking off, even while standing. Any experiences? Of course I don't care what brand they are, they just need to be good! Any other ideas or comments? :-) |

Monday, June 14 2010, 21:25:35 #43005 Oooooooooo, you got the right guy here!!! In 1998-1999 I had rollerblades on for about 10 hours a day, 90 days, every day. I skated all summer and could keep up with traffic (~45 km/h), I can run on skates without spinning wheels and can ride on 1 foot, one wheel. I tried a ton of skates and I can tell you one thing: Roces. Anything else is just shit, K2 is shit, Bauer is shit etc. Last time I rode mine was in 2008, same skates from 1998.
mine look like this (i took the brake off first thing)
I can take them off and put them on while standing on them. http://www.roces.com go to fitness section and knock yourself out. _________________
