I was browsing the ASWP forum, and found this! Very happy I thought everyone would enjoy this, so I thought I would pass the word along! Give it a try! The results speak for itself! Yes Good

Found here http://forums.aswp.net/showthread.php?t=99814

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up:

1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30.
This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0.

This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

You should always do that - copy the text, format it and provide a link to the source. Otherwise if that page is gone, entire topic becomes a waste.

Iceman,

I use firefox and I tried to find this thread the other day and it took me a while. I think this might be good as a sticky.

ROFL Your not kidding! Speaking of Anti-Microsoft, I've downloaded Knoppix (Linux) on a Live CD. (I think thats what you call it. Confused) I have an old pc collecting dust so I thought what the hell. I've only booted it up once but I'd like to learn more about it when I have more time! Nerd

Thats what I should do as well, but I don't own another system. I wouldn't mind trying setting up my system to have two OS's though, but I don't know how to do it, and dont' want to screw anything up in the process Laughing
