[|DRC| Syntax]

Since like RIGHT NOW, I'm training in MapleStory, and getting fucking bored as hell (yeah man, map camping to level gets boring around level 5x)

Anyway, I just decided to tell you bitches about the game!

Intro:
Maplestory is a free MMORPG, which can be downloaded at www.mapleglobal.com . They have NO plans of going full p2p, but they are going to integrate a "Cash Shop" in which you pay real money for extra stuff, that you don't really need. (Which is cool, since everything you can buy isn't really needed for you to advance in the game!)

Game:
Okay you start off as a "beginner" on Maple Island, the NPCs around the area give you a type of tutorial. They ask you to do something and you do it, you get rewarded, blah blah it's a easy way to learn the game. When you reach level ten, you get a new set of skills, depending on what class you choose to become. (You can be a mage at level8)
The Classes are Warrior, Mage, Bowman, Thief.

Personall I think Thief pwns all others.

After you choose your class, you can do quests, and keep leveling up until you hit thirty, in which you take a test then choose your "3rd job"
Those Classes are abit more indepth.
Warrior:
Spearman, Page, Fighter
Bowman:
Hunter(bow) and Crossbowman
Mage:
Ice Mage, Fire Mage, Cleric
Thief:
Assassin(my fave) and Bandit.


Currently the Global version does not have 4th jobs, which really blows for us, since alot of people who play have seen what the Japan and Korean versions have.

Community: You can have a friends list to talk to all your buddies at one time. You can party to go out in a crew and kick everythings ass. Be warned, there are alot of pre pubescent little fucktarded children running around.

There's a Fame thing, which is kinda annoying, you can be Famed, and you can be Defamed.....and you guys know me so on my Assassin for a very long time I had Negative 9 fame. (Some items require fame to be used.)

Visuals:
MapleStory has nothing really special to offer, no fancy graphics, no explosive cutscenes. It's a side scrolls, that uses Anime type art.

Sound:
...Alot of us who play think Wizet went around beating animals to record their sounds to use for the game...but that's a trippy conspiracy theory. Uh, the music is nothing great, I personally mute music and turn on Winamp.


Overall:
It's one of those addictive games, that you need to train ALOT, so it can be boring if you're not patient enough for it. I think it's an awesome game, and have plenty of fun playing it.


That's a pic of my current Character, an assassin throwing his ninja stars. (Which is what assassins use for weapons, expensive fuckers.)

I'm falling in coma just looking at the screenshots. I like scrollers, but only ones that require brain use and IQ higher than that of a church janitor. But I'm willing to try it.

some of the background art is kinda cool (the outdoor stuff). I think the side-scrolling thing would get on my nerves, that seems weird to have a mmorpg like that... it doesn't have to be full 3d but they could at least do top-down. :/ hum...

An OLD screenie back in Beta, that big fucker with the horns on the far right can kill you with two hits.

Side note, those screenies on the site are complete shit, I'll try to get some better ones..which will probrably involve suicide (in game)

I'm going to download it, just to see what its like. For free I guess you really can't go wrong. I see there are 2 worlds, and once you choose to join one of those worlds you're locked in there. Which one are you in? Any other advice before I set this up?

Also, this website is slower than shit. Hope the game isn't like this :/

Um, but even though I'm in Scania, it'll be easier for you guys to play in Bera, there are double money and item drops right now, so you'll be well off. I'm poor right now on Scania ...soooooo yeha.


First char, I suggest a Mage...they make money fast. (Put your points into LUK and INT only)

HOLYFUCKINGSHIT.

Awhile back, I came up with an idea for an event in MapleStory, and I typed up the whole summary and details of how it should go down, then sent it in to Wizet as a suggestion.

I called it "MapleWar", involving monsters coming into the "Safe" towns and pwning everything in sight.

On a recent update on the MapleGlobal site, they've announced that monsters have declared war on humans, and they'll attack on the 22nd. They're using my idea, fucking awesome.

I don't mind the graphics (I like Dragon Warrior VII, I'll play an rpg with shitty graphics) its the side-scroll and constant button mashing that I don't like. Might be better with a gamepad.

Weird turn of events guys.

Wizet just initiated Broa the new server, this ended the Bera 2x drop rate and meso rate.

So, if it's possible for anyone who wants to play to play in Scania, I'll try and set you up nicely with some mesos.
