I tried some mapping, the tools i used had a bit of a learning curve from my pov. I never really created anything successful.

I once downloaded a mapping app. I took a quick look at it and decided I didn't want to learn how to use it. Very happy

Q3 Radiant (website) is the tool I've used, it's hard but from what I understand is one of the best tools out there. Don't ask me how to use it though, because I never was any good at it.

I'm using radiant. and I can decompile .BSPs to .MAPs I just can't figure out how to do anything by reverse engineering, I thought i would be able to see how it works and i guess I'm too dimwitted to figure it out.

I had the same problem... There is a way to do it I just never fiugred it out. It's a freaking complex program to master. I think Devil is pretty good at it though.
