Friday, February 19 2010, 19:19:01 #42865 When you pull the pin the striker is suspended by a safety lever. As soon as you let go of the lever the striker hits the primer which ignites the fuse which burns for 3-4 seconds before exploding a small amount of gunpowder type material, whicn in turn detonates the TNT or whatever they fill grenades with now.
