Thursday, June 2 2005, 20:01:57 #26175 hahaha! Thats the better looking one! If I think of it before it klunks out on me I'll try to get a shot of my "not-so hot rod" and give you guys a good laugh! After all I did only pay $280.00 CAD for it! All in all for 280 bucks it wasn't a bad investment. The only money I put into it was 2 front tires because I had slicks on in the winter....haha....I could have made some interesting movies driving that thing home in the winter with bald tires on it! It somehow always managed though, just like old faithful! Time to put her to rest I think |

Saturday, June 4 2005, 00:48:56 #26203 Man, I gotta get some pics of my car. Problem is that I dont have a dig camera. I do however have a photo lab that can put the pix on a cd. I'll try to get some soon.
As far as parts go I may call on Tim to get da huuk up. As of right now I'm looking into a cold air intake and a scanner to re-flash the computer. After that (around $600 from just browsing) I'm looking into Magnaflow X-pipes and then Magnaflow mufflers w/ 3 1/2" tips. I probably wont mess with the stock exhaust besides that because ford did a pretty good job with the bends and it's 2 1/2" pipe to begin with. The only other thing on exhaust that I would consider is a pretty new set of JBA shorty headers. Still debating on side exhaust. ($$$). I'm liking some 18" 5zigen 5 spokes in the front and 19" in the back. My favorite so far is the Eleanor body kit at www.cervinis.com that fucker is sick. Just hope that they keep it at a reasonable price because I'm going to end up spending a butt load of cash getting it installed and painted (I prefer to take it to Dallas where there's a professional Mustang shop). All told I'm looking to spend about 7k-8k on mods/parts/paint. The problem is the balancing act between current bills and my savings account for the car. Poor me. _________________ I see Honesty and Greed fighting with lightsabers. Honesty is decapitated, and Greed takes a steamy piss on the dead body. -Wartex Maul 3:16- |

Saturday, June 4 2005, 04:34:57 #26217 To Ice:
Believing to have read right in between you lines, here's what I gotta say: "Man, drive down to the US and make sure X--ZIP-IT! finds you and pimps yo ride down to da shit stick maaan!" (little side-note: a buddy of mine came up with a better version of pimp my ride during a heavy drinking session. these sessions sometimes really get us going. his idea: make a reality show called "PIMP MY WIFE") To the others: How the fuck can you sponsor these hot rides??? I honestly envy most cars pictured above. My plan concerning "cars" is as follows (I took the time to write most of it down for myself, plz read and add. There's a high possiblity of my post violating the rule about staying on topic. If an Admin believes to better create a new thread about "how to go about getting your first car", I wouldn't mind): Until I can afford buying me a car, gather ALL information, even details that would be unimportant to a real pro, about: WHAT CAR it'd be: - buying cost - running costs - availability of tuning parts - tuning parts costs - assembly cost ABOUT CARS: - which one sell for what money - what are other's opinions of a specific car - how to drive - how to properly refill and maintain the fucker - ultra proper stick shifting in regard to car and situation and preference, as well as economically sensible - learn more of situations in general driving. cmon, let's face it, most ppl (including me and you) are to a more or less degree morons on the street! what i still need info on: how fast can I drive to be actually ABLE to pay the bill if i actually was caught (hasn't happened, and that's no accident how far can I push the car taking into consideration other dumfucks on the road (which ARE inevitalbe), what ways are there of telling how good/bad i actually am as a driver that intends on touching the "responsible limit"? - technical background. AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, beyond efficiency. to do this i need help. contacts who DO KNOW shit about cars. So far I know marble knows what he's talking about, and 2-3 others that are local here. but not enough resources yet! High efficiency depends on teamwork, rite.? ABOUT INSURANCE - yes that IS a biggy over here in Europe. Not everything is legally possible EXPERIENCE TO INTERCONNECT THESE aspects of buying a car to find the right one - reading mags, online, ask people, watch tv - check prices in local ads, car magz, etc. => get a decent understanding and avoid making a newb's fault beforehand. Until then I rely on the generosity of family and friends. I'm convinced there's dedicated websites that offer next-to-complete guides that cover these few points. To avoid low efficiency in this process, plz check out my upcoming (not expectantly soon) article in the NEWS draft section and help me out!!! [note: edit proper link here asap] |
