Hey guys,

I haven't been running my server that much lately, for one the connection has been really fucked up dropping shitloads of packets, but number two I think something is wrong with my config or files, just not sure which. The last couple times ppl trying to connect to my server have had a very hard time and sometimes it took them upto 4-5 minutes to get connected. Ask Wang, Dot and Skillz. I think they all had a hard time too. I can't figure it out... Shoud I just say fuck it and reinstall quake? HELP!!

Lags have to do with connection... If you have insufficient memory it will lag but every x amount of seconds/minutes when windows reads the swap file or when quake is dumping the buffer with the log data onto the disk. Also there mey be a program running in the background that uses CPU intensively and causes quake to lag since quake itself eats 80-100% of CPU time.
