I tried to log on to the server, but received a message:

PunkBuster anti-cheat software must be installed and activated to join this server... or something like that.

Did someone change something??

I have PB installed. Anyone have an idea what's going on?? Or what I need to do???

I've tried that problem before... its because i didnt have pb enabled!
Type this....

/pb_sv_enable

/pb_sv_update

Or turn on your Automatic Download ON!!!

Ok, guys... thanks. I started Q3 by itself and checked in Multiplayer. It was turned on. Hmmmm....

I'll try the cmds, Straw.

I just tried LG and DBR servers. No problem there.

Maybe just try reinstalling the 1.32 patch to see if that helps.

Are you logged into Windows as "Administrator"?? If not you will need to be for pb to update just so you know.

I dunno, guys... Before I posted, I checked Q3 Setup/Multiplayer. The game was set for PB enabled.

After reading the posts, I checked a couple things and went back to Setup. Guess what! PB was NOT enabled. Hmmmm... I enabled PB and I was fine. I have no clue why PB was enabled on first look, why it was DISabled on second look, or how it was turned off.

Have to chalk this one up to the 'little people', I guess.

I believe pb can be enabled and disabled for every seperate mod. For example, opening quake and checking if pb is enabled(you are in baseq3) is different than leaving an IU server(you are still in IU mod once you've left) and checking to see if pb is enabled. I might be wrong on this.
