Monday, November 14 2005, 23:49:30 #30375 Well, here's some decent ram, not sure if it's up to par with what you're looking for thought

Tuesday, November 15 2005, 04:33:15 #30378 I haven't had any problems with it, and it is overclockable which is a nice option. The thing that sux is that my mobo only runs up to 400 MHz but the RAM can run up to 500 MHz which is technically what it should be running at normally. The good thing is that I won't have to replace my RAM on my next upgrade |

Saturday, November 26 2005, 23:44:58 #30752 My advice would be that if you don't mind spending the money, and you plan on upgrading your mobo in the future to buy something faster than your mobo supports. That way you can still use it on your current mobo because it will down clock it, and after you plug it into your upgraded mobo you will still gain, and avoid having to buy brand new RAM again.
On the other hand if you don't plan on upgrading any time soon, I would go with something like this: "Corsair TWINX1024-4000PRO 1GB Kit DDR500 XMS4000 Dual-Channel ProSeries Memory w/Heat Spreader" http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=85017-16&affiliate=shopping |

Sunday, November 27 2005, 00:08:35 #30756 is that only one gig? I am not planning on upgrading anytime soon! if I do I will buy a new PC. spent too much on this system to upgrade the Mobo.. IE video card etc.... 400 for video card which is agp..if I was to upgrade mobo I would go pci express.. but that would require a new video card.. so I will be staying with this one for a while.
Is the ram i linked no good or just not recommended? Will the ram you linked work with my pc? here is another 2 gig that i am looking at..please give me your feed back: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145596 looking to get a good 2 gig for under 300! |

Sunday, November 27 2005, 00:27:32 #30759 According to the link you posted to your mobo it supports:
• Memory: Dual Channel 128bit 4 x 184-pin DDR DIMM (v1.x) 2 x 184-pin DDR DIMM (v7.0) Maximum 4GB PC3200/2700 DDR SDRAM This is Duel Channel 128bit, 184 pin DDR, so your mobo should support it. The RAM should be actually faster than your mobo, so you should be able to keep it for the next upgrade as well. Please correct me if I'm wrong Wartex. |

Monday, November 28 2005, 00:37:58 #30791 Looks to me like the one you posted is a better deal because its (2 x 1GB) which is 2 GB, but it doesn't have the "heat spreader" from what I can see.
I would get the one that you posted. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145596 |

Can someone explain how to change the timiing in the BIOS? I did the research for you, so all you need to do is compare your settings to BIOS and input the values.
