Ever since human simulating robots have been around, there has been the problem of balancing them while they move. Their very hight and thinness poses problems that are not yet adequatly solvable. Watch a new concept of robots (videos at the bottom of page): http://clarinet.msl.ri.cmu.edu/projects/ballbot/ I personally don't see it as being a good solution. Also, it reacts quite "insecurely" to little pushes. What do you think? |
