Thursday, January 12 2006, 22:29:57 #32227 Sennheiser HD500 I just bought my first "real" headphones, Sennheiser HD500. Wartex and Iceman both suggested them and I had been looking for the best deal since. I found a pair on ebay that are currently bidding for $76.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sennheiser-HD-500-Perfect-Headphones-w-Jack-ipod_W0QQitemZ5851426829QQcategoryZ40138QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Then I found a new pair for $80 and ordered them. Only took two days to get them. http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?sku=253814&SourceID=k15506 I never knew headphones could sound this good Thanks for the input guys! |

Thursday, January 12 2006, 22:33:22 #32228 That's a pretty good deal. When I go back to work and get some money, I'll get a pair.
I guess I'll need to get a seperate mic too? |

Friday, January 13 2006, 00:59:40 #32249 Will it work on my 7800 GTX? |

Friday, January 13 2006, 21:06:48 #32281 Why did he buy wireless?? I'm sure they sound good, but I wouldn't buy wireless anything. That includes mice, keyboards, routers...or any other wireless product. Don't get me wrong here, I'm saying they are crap, because I know they are good, I am just partial to things that are actually "connected" because there are less problems. If someone next door to you turns on the radio and happens to hit the right frequency, they will become useless if he is listening to them. Thats all I'm saying Convince him to upgrade to something wired |

Saturday, January 14 2006, 06:34:04 #32296 You can hear Quake from the top of the garden (200m) and it sounds just as good as it is in where he usually is. We have a field at the back of our house and it starts to go out of range about midway through the field. I also have cordless headphones (Philips SBC HC205)

Sunday, January 15 2006, 12:39:14 #32324 How long do your batteries last? ....and how much money to replace them once they are dead? My point is that over a long period of time there will be enough money invested into batteries that you could have bought a more advanced set |

Sunday, January 15 2006, 12:46:57 #32325 My batteries have just gone and they've lasted me about a year. It probably costs about three quid to get new ones (rechargable)
