I know we have never previously allowed politics on the forum, but I got to thinking that it would probably generate a shit load of traffic. So as a suggestion, how about making a seperate forum for just politics? A good debate is not always a bad thing you know, as long as facts are presented instead of just a personal opinion

I could definitely say some interesting things about British politics! Our criminal justice system is completely laughable. I voted yes .

This is the toughest case I've heard in years. He got 25 yrs in prison. Most layabouts these days get 100 hours community service for drunk driving and knocking and killing a 9 yr-old girl? Pathetic, what good is that to anybody?

I voted no... the bylaws were written and mostly they have validity and has worked to date. And in my opinion if there is a way to have hard feelings/arguments it is talking about religion and politics. The age differences, social status', and couontries, and the views associated could cause elevated blood pressure amongst friends.

It'll come down to bashing USA (because there is a lot to bash it for), while individual people are not guilty technically speaking. I bet majority of discussions will be USA international policies, hipocricy of UN and NATO. Politics are fun as long as they are very local. Discussing politics on a global scale is like throwing manure at each other while being dressed in white tuxedos and arguing who has higher accuracy, and who's shit is of a better grade.

Thats cool with me I was only thinking from a "generating traffic" point of view.

I can definatley see the pros and cons with it though, and like OLDie says the rules have worked well up to this point, so no point in fixing something that is not broken. Thanks for the feedback guys

I also voted no(not that I have any pull here), and agree with Oldie. I posted a post 911 vid on another clan site, and it raised a lot of mixed emotion. There is too big a mix to stir up debates over politics. could cause tension. Besides, I for one do this to get away from it.
