After much random lockup and a complete inability to edit 1080p video, it is time to retire my laptop to surfing duty. I have been going back and forth between newegg and wartex(thank you much for the guidance) for a couple of weeks and finally ordered this rig:

Antec 1200 Case
Asus Rampage 3 Extreme MoBo
Intel Core i7-950 3.06ghz 130w Processor
12gb Mushkin RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD6950 Vid Card
PC Power & Cooling 950w Power Supply
4x 1TB WD Caviar Black HDD, RAID 10
LG Blu-Ray Internal
LG 23" Widescreen LED Monitor
Razer Deathaddder Mouse
Linksys WRT56GL Router

I plan to run Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, with dual boot 32 bit XP.

Some packages are due today, some tomorrow. I'll snap some pics of the adventure. I'm hoping to have the system running by the weekend.

If you don't mind that I ask how much did you spend for that rig? I'm looking to upgrade my computer.. I've always used Fry's Electronics but I've noticed that NewEgg and TigerDirect have very good deals.

I actually just ordered a 640g HDD to sit outside of the raid array to use as my XP disk. I have all the installers for stuff I do want, and have figured out stuff I don't want on the machine. I will most likely be doing a fresh install this weekend once the new drive comes in.

Yeah great build! LED drive me nuts. A back lit keyboard is all I want. Now clean up that room mister!!

Wartex his room reminds me of yours a few years back hehe.......Like when you put my system together with the water cooling ....I set it up for SLI but never did get the second video card

Looks good man! ....I haven't upgraded mine in years now so mine would be considered stone age now compared to yours but it still does everything I need it to
