Don't ask. Jigsaw (bare tool, no batteries etc) cost me $240 US and that's on eBay.

The hammerdrill with a big bit is $1100 here in retail ($799-899 USD in US), I got it for $640 taxes in during a reconditioned tool sale at dewalt (full kit).

I won grinder on eBay for $70 after which I was promptly banned by the seller because that grinder never went for under $200 and that day I just got really really lucky, I guess he thought I cheated the system somehow (/ebay_bot_enable 1).

I bought everything for 40-60% below retail thru various sales and eBay auction sniping.

Let's put it this way, if I paid retail for all the tools I have we are looking at around 10 grand. I have 2 telecom testers which I bought for $200 and $550 each and they cost $2700 and $1500 USD respectively.

Haha no. If I were in construction I'd probably be the guy sweeping or carrying heavy shit. It might come to that though with the current economy.

I'm not working, but am in a master of business administration program that I pretty much hate and will probably soon quit.

Are you in construction? It seems like a pretty cool gig if you aren't a grunt, and even if you are, you are getting a good workout.

Wartex.. remember how you go a lot of those ebay tools . Anyways I admit I'm also just as bad as Wartex with tools. But now that I'm laid off I don't use them much anymore.
