I got a new fan from old dual 486DX and decided to stuff it into my comp for better cooling. It's Canon high-precision fan (was from government computer), motor is quiet but the airflow isn't.

It's about 1.5 inches tall and maybe 5 inches blade diameter. Here's how it looks like:

Largest fan ever! Laughing

Do you have "before" screenshots of the temperature rise?

"After bootup" means when computer was turned on. I don't have a thermometer to measure the temp when computer is off.

Hmm, my zalman fan equipped CPU reaches about 28 °C idle and maybe goes up 5 degrees after an hour of usage. My room is air conditioned though, that could be a factor. My 5900 is also equipped witha a zalman. I hated it when I had to wear ear plugs when I went to sleep if my computer was running overnight.

The skull will bang on the alphalt and I will get a ticket for damaging the pavement. Can I get a studded fetus? Lol, this thread is going to spam, lets stop it Laughing

PS: Different CPU's have different sensors. Best zalman's fan/heatsink dissipates 10% at worst and 18% at best (proven by multiple tests) more heat in comparison to stock intel fans/heatsinks. So if we are talking 53 - 29 = 22 degree difference, or 45% precent difference, I think our tests were under different conditions. And no matter what you say, a huge fan like that that pumps in a few dozen cubic feet of 20°C air into the case constantly beats at least four 12 cm fans. Wink
